TOPIC: Classic Beauty needs an identity!

Classic Beauty needs an identity! 12 years 4 months ago #63904

Hi folks! I just learned of this forum and I am hoping the wisdom here can help me out. This boat was advertised as a Starcraft, but it was clear to me that it isn't that. I bought it and am about to dig in an restore it but I can't seem to identify just what it is. There are no identifying marks whatever on it. It is welded aluminum for the most part, very few rivets. Can anyone take a shot at identifying this make?

Maybe a early sixties StarCraft Jupiter.

More pics would help.

For some reason only one of the pics I uploaded showed up in the post. The folks over at the Star Craft forum seem convinced it's not one. Apparently Star Craft uses rivets. Some thought Crestliner but I couldn't find a match in the library here.

I believe I have identified my boat as a late 60s early 70s Crestliner Sea Scout.

It certainly shares many of the same features including the aluminum bow strip. Funny thing though - no matter how many times I measure my boat it comes out to 15 feet, not 14 . . .

Just saw this. Maybe it's c. 1972 a SmokerCraft?
