TOPIC: Flying Scott 60

Not sure I'm in the correct forum, but I was out today looking at some old trucks and came home with a Flying Scott 60,go figure.
Anyhow don't know much about it, but thought I ought to rescue it.

One more-Brass Prop

Don't realy know much about the scotts but that prop looks small and only 2 bladed for a 60hp motor. You might try posting on AOMCI. Its a little hard to post pictures there but I know they can get all the info you need on that motor.

There should be # on top of the block or the dist brace, might read 62307530 or 332???, looks like a 61-63? mdl, model N carbs? prop is probly an AJC 120, NICE prop to have. Loads of pwr for the size and weight,should be about 170.lbs. put it on a 14-15' boat and your looking at 40+ mph.
Here are some more Scotts.

This appears to be a 1960 60 hp. This was the last of the 60 HP and the first 60 HP with the distributor. Was is the number stamped into the hub on the prop? Size of prop can hopefully be determined from it.
