I decided to use the dual control Gale remote with new 400 series cables. I ended up with at least 2 isssues,
1.) I could not hook the cable end to the shift linkage, the end would not slide over the shift linkage mounting post. the set screws get in the way.
2.) The slots that hold the cable adjutments have nothing to keep the cables from popping off.

After looking at parts diagrams of the remote cables I may have the wrong cable end. However if I do I don't see how I could hook it up either. www.ishopmarine.com/ishop/jsp/AsplIsmCcatViewBase.jsp?&lvlCode=4&pCode=C0051885&path=BRP~A0000021~M0002813~M0002819~C0051885&isFromCMS=false&hideAdd2CartButton=&isStandAlone=&is4CmsShop=&reqln=Unknown&reqem=Unknown&reqph=Unknown&reqFor=29&req4Browse=1&docId=&docName=&isForSupStore=true&cCatFilter=BRP&eCatSupFldr=supplier-100-005-EJ

I recall having an issue with mine as well.
I have a 76' Evinrude 70 HP that I bought as a spare.
I hooked it to the boat, (73' 65HP) and I ended up removing
something to get it in there.
