Ok so my throttle cable for the 80 hp is too long. It's 18' tip to tip and I need about 15' so is it ok to make a gentle loop and still use it until I find a 15 footer?
I guess my other question would be can this one be shortened easily and how?

Bob, from what I've seen, an aftermarket cable can be shortened. I don't know about an original. Maybe some others will chime in . If you will post a pic, might help. jim

Well update, i forgot I had another cable from the other motor. It's only 14' long. I could really use 15' but this could work for a while. I'll see if I can take a pick tomorrow.
