Looking good rip, very nice! Are you going to run a back seat too, or just the front? (Just wondering?) I went back and reviewed the entire thread, you've brought this old girl a long way you should be proud. ;)

I probably will, but not this year. the boat in VERY small and I will cross that bridge later, after I get a Battery, gas cans/lines etc and see what kind of room I am looking at.

also thanks for the kind words. It has been a task and with two small kids does'nt make it any easier. I have plenty of "help".

So I decided to keep this thread going.
See updated pictures.

Heres the deal....after a few years of working on and off I finally found a motor that would work perfectly, a late 80's classic fifty with power trim to replace the rusted 70's omc 50hp that I removed. It had a classic look but modern enough to find parts and has trim. I drove 2 hours away and checked it out. The motor looked great, low hours started right up on old fuel. Everything was there. I was so excited to get this thing in the water for labor day 2015. I dropped it off at a local mechanic(whom I use often with my other boats) to get a fresh water pump installed and carbs rebuilt. I got a call that cylinder #4 only had compression of 40psi and it was not worth fixing.

so.. I am hoping for a little guidance or better yet if you or anyone you know has a good running remote controlled engine 25-50hp I would be very interested. I am willing to travel anywhere around VA, NE NC or MD to find a good running older motor for my little boat. I know there are a bunch of us in VA, NC, GA and PA.

Who Can help me??
BTW I am on a strict budget from the boss(Old lady). Help a Glassic boat guy out?

I love that idea. I may have to figure out something similar. yours is a bit bigger, mine is only a 14 and weight is an issue. i built the front seat from scratch with foam out of some couch cushions i snagged off a curb. not much money in this at all. As we know they do take some hours
