Although I am going to install a new tell-tail, I still decided to drop the LU and check the impeller to ensure the pin was installed correctly (it has been at nagging me), also, it is not shifting into reverse very well, so dropping it will get me two birds (also, I didn't grease the splines of the drive and shift shaft, so I'm getting three birds)!

So my question is, are the fins of the impeller installed in the correct direction?

Also, which direction does the drive shaft turn in?

Thanks.

clockwise yes the fins are correct. make sure the drive shaft is loose on the impeller just a little slop.
