TOPIC: Volvo pena

Ahh sorry but WHAT HAVE I GOT!
My newest project is a 1970s boat with a 302 Ford with I am told a Volvo Penta I/O. My first inboard restoration and I would like to start to doing research on this project. I need to pull the motor and out drive as the boat needs everything. So identification and maybe some guidance on how to remove things.

that looks like either a 250 or 270 aeries drive.

disconnect the throttle,shift,and steering,then all of the bellows etc. note how the clamps are positioned as this is critical for clearance. then remove the two pins that the unit tilts on. the drive should now come off. inside of the collar,there is a clamp ring and large rubber o ring. this holds the bellhousing to the collar. with the 302,it might be easier to remove the motor from the bellhousing first. hope this helps Del. I think this is a AQ200 I have found some numbers on the I/O but at this time have not matched them up to be positive
