I have been wondering what my 12' boat was for a while, I realize it's probably nothing real special, but I was curious. I wandered through the gallery here and found a couple things that seemed to match, but nothing that was really a definite match.
Title says it's a '67 (which is funny as it's my first boat, and my first car was a '67 Mustang.)

Bought the boat from a friend of my grandfather's near Merritt Island, Fl, but they could have easily brought the boat down there from somewhere else.

Mr. Asa,

WELCOME ABOARD.

Have you looked CAREFULLY for a maker's data plate?
(One of my old "tin" boats had the plate under the rear seat.)

yours, satx

I had a Sea King that looked a lot like yours but that doesn't say who made it.

I've been over most of the boat pretty thoroughly, I ended up stripping the paint from it (an obvious and poorly executed addition, I left the rough-grip stuff in the center as it felt like that might be useful)
I didn't see anything as I was doing that, but I could have easily missed something. I certainly didn't look under the seats, but that's mostly because it's hard to see all the way under due to the foam under the seats and the low skirts on there.

I saw a Sea King on Craigslist the other day that really got me thinking it might be, but like you said, doesn't mean it is/

Mr. Asa,

Truthfully, you may NEVER find out for sure who actually made your little tinny. = TOO MANY "small & independent builders" came & went from that business & didn't mark their goods. = In many cases, the builder left it to the wholesaler/retailer to "brand" the boats.

For example: GENERAL MARINE, INC. of Arkadelphia, AR would "brand" your boats anything that you liked if you bought as few as 25 aluminum johnboats at a time. = Thus "boat brands" like: DELTA TIRE & WHEEL, INC., A&P GROCERY STORES, CONROY'S TRACTOR & SUPPLY CO., RADIO SHACK & NORTHWEST LOUISIANA FARM SUPPLY, INC.

yours, satx

I know that is a very real possibility. One can always hope that isn't the case, though.

Grumman used to make boats like that, but then a lot of those Sears boats looked like that too.

I finally got the boat registered today, and on the full title I saw the name "Delhi" under make.
Thanks to the library here, I found that Delcraft boats were around at about that time but I haven't been able to find any real pictures. Does anyone have any pictures of something from Delhi/Delcraft in that size and age?
