Hi Everyone:
I'm "new" to this fancy version of the site and first found it weeks after it launched in '98. I was at the 2002 Fiberglassics events in Rockford with my restored Larson Playboy, but ended up getting out of the hobby for a while, and the move to Texas didn't help either.
I'm back in Illinois and was itching for another vintage boat, but maybe not wanting to be itchin' with a fiberglass one. Last weekend after some chatting with the owner who kindly held it for me, I picked up an aluminum Nader in Iowa. It's the 18' Thunderhawk model, I think it's the base or mid level trim. It was in a barn sitting at least 10 years according to the seller. Though it last had an updated registration sticker of 1993.... 585 miles roundtrip along with changing tires, checking bearings solo on site. Oh and one cleanup photo - it had a red deck - who knew?
Here's some of the as-found photos - enjoy!
