TOPIC: 1959 Texas Maid Falcon Project

bought this 1959 Texas maid falcon of local Facebook. came with trailer, 1958 Evinrude lark 35 motor and and additional 1969 Evinrude big twin 40

owner added ugly bow seat, flush rode holder on bow, ugly windshield, and some little Knick knacks

day 1 spent taking off all the ugly stuff and removing all i could. stripped out original pully steering as i plan to go to NFB
had to cut out seat back to get under dash.. I'm too big to fit between front seat backs.

plan is to

1. strip down & clean
2 .do hull water test
3. check rivets for leaks
4. remove motor
4. strip off paint
5. flip and inspect bottom
6. gluveit
7. repaint
8. newer motor controls
9. nfb steering
10. new seats/ interior work
11. on water and enjoy

i think i can hopefully sell the old motors to help fund slightly newer motor purchase - . I'm sure i can the these running but they are taken apart a little and I don't know what i have

I have a 1958 falcon. I started mine last week. I wish mine was as complete as yours. Interested in yours progress, how about an update?
