Arkansas Traveler 1959? 14 years 8 months ago #1577

Hello All
I am newbie here. A wonderful site it is!
I just picked up a 1959 Arkansas Traveler here in the Phoenix area.
I only know what the guy told me so may not be what it really is.
Anyway,it is 15 feet long and has a fiberglass top. Also has cool
looking csat aluminum corners and bow trim.I will get some photos
tommorrow. If anyone has any info on these sleek looking run a bouts
please post back.

Hi Jack,

Check out the Arkansas Traveler section in the library. The '58 brochure shows a finned aluminum model witha fiberglass deck. Post some pics. I love alumiglassics.

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.

I just added 1954 to 1959 model information for Arkansas Traveler to the Glassic library. The DUT-15 was made in 1959 as well, though I cannot say whether this particular model was substantially changed or not. Hopefully someone soon will come up with a 1959 Arkansas Traveler brochure.

Hello once again
I got a few pictures this morning but need to learn
how to upload them. I did find a tag with the model
number and it states that the serial number is at the
stern end on the starboard side. It is a DUT-15 but
still looking to date it.
I tore out all the wood floors and carpet that was
glued to the insides. Will post more pics if this
works. Jack in AZ

Update,I found the serial number on the srarboard side
of the stern,go figure, right where the ID tag said it
would be.Anyways it is a DUT-15 and the serial number is
8 122. If anyone can help me date this rig it would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks , Jack in AZ
