TOPIC: Help Identify Boat (I think its a Texas Maid)

Help Identify Boat (I think its a Texas Maid) 13 years 3 months ago #40798

I just got my next project boat. I bought it because I loved the fins. The motor is a 1963 Johnson 40hp in serviceable condition.

From the internet research I have done, my best guess is that this is a Texas Maid boat, around late 50s or early 60s. It may be called the Osprey. The hull is 14' long and the beam is 62". I attached one picture but here is a link to some more pictures.

Any help in identifying the Make, Model, and Year would be greatly appreciated.

Also any other information about this boat you would like to supply would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I think it's definitely an Osprey. I'm not an expert on these boats (yet), but it looks like this 1960.

I'm within a week of getting my Fiesta to the lake. Good luck with yours, they are pretty simple to work on. That Osprey will definitely turn heads.
