TOPIC: Chrysler Crew Skis

I have a set of Chrysler Crew kids water skis I want to sell. Does anyone know what a fair price would be? They are in good shape except the bindings are mildewed.

Sorry I haven’t been around for awhile to respond. Like many things... they are worth what someone will pay, so the more people you can get to look at them, the better. Though some skis seem to hold more value for many reasons... quality, rarity, beauty, construction methods, regional connections, sentimental connections, the skis themselves spear to be similar in quality to many made in that era. When you see the simple plastic fins, basic bindings, and less than high quality wood with no special features, most were just intended to be basic affordable skis to get families into the sport as a starting point. The rarity may only lie in the fact that maybe few were thought of as needing to be saved. Many cheaper skis have been seen as garage shelves, robbed for binding parts and even just firewood after one might start delaminating or even get broken or run over. I would take a sample search of eBay just to see the pricing of general skis of similar quality. I would think if you were a Chrysler boat or motor collector, they may be appealing to them... or if someone grew up learning on a pair like this. However since there are so many skis available out there, if a person just wants to ski, they likely can find inexpensive skis all day long. Perhaps list them in the classifieds here, or eBay... maybe one of the collectors is missing this particular pair. It all depends if the stars line up right. I probably haven’t told you anything you don’t already know but I just wanted to respond and not leave you hanging. Hope others can add more to the conversation. Good luck finding them a good home.
