Since I asked for this category I suppose I should add some content that might be helpful. So here are some videos I did on timing and carb setup.

Glad to see this. I have 2=55 hp's and I am looking for a 6, or .6.6, or 7.5 that I can put my long shaft unit on for trolling alongside my 55.

That's a cool Chrysler twin. I have a 61 Larson Playmate I have been saving for a project. It needs a short shaft. I was thinking of an OMC "Bigtwin". Now I want a short Chrysler "big twin". :)

I hit the lottery!

Ok just the outboard lottery. One of the outboard club guys bought out a stash of motors. Among the true antiques like the Elto Senior Quad(?) was a (it turned out) 1974, 45 hp, short shaft, remote control and cables, CD ignition, single phase alternator, Chrysler motor. Almost exactly my wish list. Wishes Santa did not hear, preferred older, the West Bend version or a '60s Chrysler pre wide hood, three phase alternator, control cable/switch not missing, not a beat up prop. Other wise all present and accounted for. And after cleaning and gaping the points the CD works (whew). I did a quick putt test on starting juice.

Question to Big Tim: Is that really a 64 Chrysler? I thought the sale was not complete until 65. But the info is sketchy. If it is I will have to revise my mental notes. :)

I was wrong! It’s a 1966 Chrysler 45 hp.
