Is this the correct area for Kentucky?

It's user defined. Do you feel like a Mid-Westerner?

Well the national news channels calls out Kentucky as a Midwest state which I don't agree but might be political correct. I thought about the "South East" but what do I know? Just a thought in the dark. And best wishes to Jamil and the site!

Kentucky is not in the Midwest. Anyone with an accent is not a Midwesterner. We drink Schlitz, Labatts or Old Milwaukee. We eat Kowalski sausage.

Do you like Hockey?
Can you hum the HNIC theme song? (If you have to ask what's HNIC, then no for sure)
Do you ice skate?
Do you still go to work when it snows 10"?
Can you auger an 8 inch hole, through 12" of ice, in under a minute?

If you anwered yes to all of these then you might be a Midwesterner.

Kentucky is the southeast

I always thought of Kentucky as mid-eastern. But then I dont really know squat about it.

DelRay, I live in Indiana and I dont think Im in the MID West either but thats where its at. We do have a Hocky teem but.....and we dont ice fish much, and theirs nothing WEST about Indiana, But we do have some nice lakes and of course the ohio river, many of the classic boats we love where built in northern IN,and we still build pontoon boats here. I see trailers full of them almost daily as I cruise to work in Indy. So embrace your mid'ness......lol.

I believe the previous midwest regional group was "Great Lakes"?

I'm in Michigan, so I guess I will stick around this forum unless something more mitten-specific forms.

They say Va. is in the south. Mason-Dixon Line. Gimmie a break. Anything N of Alexandria, La is a yankee. Left coast doesn't count and I won't even talk about the NE.....
