A friend sent this to me today. It shows me and our youngest son Billy in the Power Cat racing Bob (can't remember his last name) in the short regatta at the ACBS meet in Hammondsport last July. Bob would have beat me but for the wake waves from the inboards ahead of us. The Power Cat takes waves pretty well for a lightweight 14' (almost) boat!

I've been airborn a couple of times John. The boat seems to be balanced well and able to do that, but I don't want to do it too much, things might crack. You know, it's like doin wheelies in my hot rod. I can do it, but that's how things break. I can't afford the repairs!

That may very well have been my first and last regatta too, we'll see...
