I live in Idaho and plan on going to Northwest lakes, I suppose there are hundreds so just asking about a handful of recommended ones to visit.

Depends WHERE in PNW you will be going? Like ya said, we are not short of good puddles here! I'm outside Olympia on the salty Sound, but at least 4 great lakes decent size close me. Black, Summit, Cushman, Mason, many more but I stick to the Sound as gotta come home to where the slip is!

Lake Chelan is hands down the most beautiful lake in washington state.

Wow. That looks amazing! Forgive my ignorance... is that fresh water or salt water connected to the big ponds? Looks like boating heaven to me. Thanks for the pictures.

Freshwater. Lake Chelan is on the east side of the cascade mountains. In the middle of washington state. One of the deepest lakes @ 1500' deep.

Thanks. Indeed that is for sure deep. Makes me want to ensure I calculate the proper floatation for my restoration. A diver can easily go 30’ deep to bring up a sunken classic if I ever swamp it with waves over a transom, but 1,500 is crazy deep in my world of small boats and small lakes.
