Hi Chuck! Good to see you here on the new G3 site.

Finally got my '59 G3 underway for the very first time today, out at Thom's lake. While we were working on my starter, he had mentioned that he talked to you recently.

So how far out is "the future"? Did you end up holding onto your 650?

Dean

I think it was due to my ignition switch in the control box, it is sticky... and the night before I took her to Kitsap Lake for the maiden voyage, I ran it in the driveway. I expect it got stuck in the "start" position, and while I ran the motor for about 20 minutes, the starter also continued to spin until it became like Fukushima inside. The good news is that the starter has been replaced with a strong running one, the bad news is that I'm still at risk until I find a new switch... a squirt of oil didn't help... so I'm on the hunt for a NOS switch.
