TOPIC: Batten down the hatches G3 boys

Ive been watchin the hurricane Irene, my daughter lives in Jacksonville NC, and its goin right to her,shes full term and ready to deliver my grandson. And thats whwere the storm starts hitten land tomarrow ,then all the rest of my freinds along the coast. I hope your all gettin ready for this one. This is one time I dont mind livin in the middel of the corn belt!

Our prayers are with your daughter and grandson Jeff, as well as our many friends in the path of the hurricane.

I hope they all listen to the weather alerts and if told to evacuate, DO SO!

I have seen many hurricanes in my 65 years in Florida and they will hurt you, especially the stubborn who refuse to take cover!!!

I had 14 inches of water in my home from hurricane Kate in 1985, as well as much damage to the home and shop and a large pine tree fell on my 1958 BelAir Chevy that I was gonna restore!!!

Keep in mind its not just the wind but the storm surge i.e. a HUGE rise in the water level. Be safe.

Dam I hope she gets out of there in time. They take no mercy on anybody or anything.
Send her the good mojos that were sent to me on my leg surgery and she should be good.

We're in Manahawkin,Nj about 6 miles from Long Beach Island,which is evacuated, bridge is closed, All the low lying ares are evacuated also. We preloaded a tree yesterday with a winch ,so if it falls it will go into the woods. Hope everyone is ok out there !

Yeah, Be safe and good luck. Storms are a pain. Wondering how John P is, he's close to shore in that area I think? Good reason to keep a g3 close by
