TOPIC: Not G3 related but and up date

I go in to see the guy thats making my leg on tuesday and he told me to bring both shoes. So it looks like he has a leg for me to try. Getting close to being able to walk on 2 legs again.
I took on my big dodge van and put a gas peddle on the left side so now I can drive it easy.
Also I can take my little alumimum boat out and launch it all by my self.
Heres some pix of the lake from the other day fishing. Got 2 10in crapy and 2 12in wipers

Mike,
What is a crapy and a wiper?
Would the crapy be a crappie or 'Blue Gill'???
We have those here, but they only get to about 4-5" max.
I just googled the crappie and it looks like they get HUGE!
Are they the same as our little 'blue gill' fish?
They mysteriously started showing up in this lake about 30 years ago and are very well established now.
They do amazingly well in an aquarium - unlike many fresh water native fish around here.

I guess that one reason I don't recognize those fish is because, unlike OMC owners that can't go fast so they use their G3s to fish,...I go WAY TOO FAST for that sport with my Mercury powered G3. (just keepin' the discussion G3 related - nyuk-nyuk-nyuk)

Yes , that is a crappie he mentions and a Wiper is a cross between a white bass and a stripper. We have them here in N. Florida and call them Hybrids.
I caught a Fla crappie once that was 18 inches long!! They get big here!

And to keep this G-3 related, ya know, no fish can swim fast enough to jump into a MERC POWERED G-3!! See lots of them jumping into OMC powered G-3's!!!!

A crappie and a wiper? Sounds like an outhouse joke.

One more up date on me. I made and appointmet with the guy tues tommorrow and the guy said to bring both shoe. So I guess he has a leg for me to try. Hey maybe I will be walking on 2 legs soon.

Ok now here it is my new leg. Got to try it on and do some walking. I walk in it for and hour 5 times a day for a few days and if everything is good then it will be longer.

Very good Mike!! Glad for ya!! That leg will be just fine after the "break-in" period. I work with an old man who has one just like it and he hauls butt on it all day at work!!

I guess ya know that now you don't qualify for the job I had gotten for you at I-HOP!!!!!!!!

Thanks everybody. Things just keep getting better everyday. Now if I can just get the moter on the big boat to run I will be ready to mount my cannon.

Unfortunately, I do see or read every thread posted. So I didn't see why you had to have this body work done. I see though that you are doing therapy and you are back to fishing. Good for you! I hope that progress comes fast and easy. We all have challenges every day. Some have different and tougher challenges than others, but until you are the one facing it, it takes a whole new meaning.

Boy your right on that. I know life wouid be differnt. Mosly now its and inconvenance for getting around. I was really upset the frist time I thought I was going to lose the leg. But after the surgery I didn't both ma at all for some reason. I look down at the stump sometimes and it amazas's me that the leg is gone and it will never grow back. Now its just anouther chapeter in my life of a lot of chapeters. I will be 71 the 12th of this month and not to many chapters left to go. But hay I' not giving up by a long shot. I stil have G3 to restore. And a lot of fishing to do.
