TOPIC: Horn air canister

Horn air canister 13 years 1 day ago #52890

I think I have asked before but still need an idea. My horn (pictured) does not thread into the modern air canisters. Has anyone else experienced this and have a solution. I'd sort of like to keep the old stuff.

Scuse me while I whips out my Wile E. Coyote ACME Catalog of ingenious notions.
Alas..... nothing there.
Failing that, off the top of my head....
see what fitting does fit your horn inlet
then
there may be a possible adapter fitting at a local hard ware store to
bind that to a flex hose that will fit a current canister
find a way to mount the canister up under the deck somewhere
perhaps with a fire extinguisher mounting bracket
should give you a clean, unseen solution.

Ditto with Boatgeek.Find a fitting to attach a small air hose to and then atttach to air canister. You dont want to attach the canister directly to the air horn as the pounding on the water will more than likely break the coection unless you are just trolling around the lake. And evrybody knows that is all you do with a G3, hehe, Good luck and let us know how it works out. Skip.
