Anyone know if there was a service bulletin about removing the baffle? I have one oil pan that has one and four others do not.

The windage tray really isn't needed. If the pan were serving as an oil sump, it would be a different story. If your engine has one, keep it in. It will help direct oil back to the sump in the motor tower a little faster. If you are instaslling one, use locktite on the bolts & don't over tighten them.
