I've been very busy the past few weeks, and Thursday had 3 Bearcats and 2 Homelites delivered.
Then Friday picked up a Bearcat 55 in great running condition from a customer that had me tune for the last few years. It's already sold, I have to deliver it this weekend. Pic attached
Check out the old C model with George Jetson hood. Pic attached
Then yesterday I picked another Bearcat. Pic attached

Geez I'm running out of engine stands!
Lots of guys running them late in the fall, and lots of guys tinkering with them over the winter.

Saw the 85 and had to run out to the garage and see if mine was still there :) Is that the first white block/white leg one you've had? What # is that one, curious how close it is to my 159.

One of the bear cats I have has the jetson hood. But they are sitting in storage waiting for me to work on them.

billr; all,

bill gets "rained on" by Homelites (including an 85!) & i cannot seem to find even ONE early Homelite to replace my 1960 model that was stolen. -the lock on the transon was cut & it was GONE.

yours, satx

satx,
That really sucks, sorry to hear that. All I can say is let all your friends know you are looking for one and keep your ear to the ground. Once the word gets around and you have many more "eyes" helping you look it gets easier. Homelites will start to find you. I've been fortunate to locate 9 of them, one being an 85hp and I just flat have run out of room for anymore, have had the chance to purchase more of them recently. It's been an obsession. I like to have parts on the shelf within reach just in case and when I'm done hope to have two excellent engines, one spare powerhead and a couple extra lower units. I'm just about at my goal.
