Here is what I have. The last image is when I first brought my Homelite home. I took off that red bracket and added the mesh screen that was missing.

From what I can see Im missing the Homelite emblems on the sides. The screen on my front has a gold emblem saying Homelite.

Looks like a 63 model. I'm working on a 70 Bearcat. It runs fine but not pumping water.
Next step check impeller. I have a spare.
You'll love that motor when start running it.

I'm glad you have a photo of the engine. I've been wanting to ask this question for months. My '66 Bearcat does not have the carb air cleaner. It just has the little ram air duct, like the manual shows. Is it really better to have an air cleaner?

CraigLam,
That black piece has no filter in it. I think it is some sort of silencer for the carbs. Plus helps keeps any debris from getting into the carb throats. My 62 has those like you have on your 66. This is a photo of my 62 when I first picked it up. My 70 was much cleaner when I picked it up.

Nice photo. As you can tell from my photos, the engine was mickey moused. Here is what the cowling looks like.

Nice huh. Alot of repair work. Good thing I work with fiberglass. After I paint the parts, I'll begin the re-assembly. I still need accessory parts, fuel pump, rectifier, spark plug wires, etc. When I begin the contruction of my trailer from scratch, I'll post on the trailer section. Thanks for the photo.

Here are a few pictures of Mr. George Jetson.

The only liberties taken from original are the the 3" wide "cap" that goes over the front top orange with white lettered Homelite emblem should be white or chrome, not the Homelite blue. Otherwise the colurs should be fairly close.
