My Starflite III shift linkage is worn and one of the parts I need to replace is the bellcrank. I haven't been able to locate one through the usual sources (Marine Engine.com, Ebay). Can anyone give me a suggestion of a possible source? Thanks.

Did you try Seaway Marine in Lynwood, Wa? They have extensive old-stock parts and might have something kicking around.

Failing that, there's almost always a dead V4 parts motor on the Craigslist somewhere nearby!.

Doug, put up a picture of all you need. I have the entire shift linkage setup for a '59 75hp starflite III. all cleaned and bagged.

I'm pretty sure the largest OMC motor in 1959 was 50hp.

First year for the 75hp was 1960.

I stand corrected. It is a 1960. Either way I have the entire linkage if needed.

I haven't taken everything off as yet. I've had the lower unit off along with the linkage from the external shift lever to where it connects to the engine block. Have been reluctant to go after the bellcrank as I'm not really experienced with engine repair (I take lots of pictures as I go!) I'm going to try one more adjustment of the point where the upper and lower linkages connect on the port side of the lower unit. Any feeling for how long your parts were actually in use? How much for the whole lot? Doug

Doug, I've no idea of how long these were in use. I purchased the motor for parts and still have lots of them left over. As you can see in the pictures they are not worn.
Take your time and lots of pictures. If you decide it's what you could use let me know on this thread or you can message me on this site also. I think $25 for the complete linkage set that is in the picture is fair. Or....make me an offer but gotta include shipping costs.

Thanks, I will. Sorry for the delay, but have been enroute to Florida to escape the snow and cold for awhile. I'll be in touch.
