Wow! That is a rarity and probably worth the asking price.

By the part number, NO. I think the lift cylinder base is too thick to fit your right side mount. The original part number for the 1962 power tilt assembly was 379140. And I believe your 1965 mount is identical to a '62. I believe that tilt is for a later model engine. You can do some mod to your right hand mount and make it work though.

thanks. I am thinking about a re power for my Larson I have a 1975 erude with power tilt and electric shift. the motor is a 80hp but the boat is only rated to 75. not sure if it will be worth it to get power tilt. it is closer to being period correct for my 72. thoughts?

If it was me I would get it. Not saying it's for everyone but with a little bit of "field engineering" nothing is impossible. Here is a trim/tilt put on a late '60's 100hp Johnson that wasn't even designed for one. Only installed it because the motor is a beast on the weight scale and the tilt is only used for docking and shallow water.

Woo glass, I'd say go for the 80. Don't think 5 horses will make much difference . If someone is interested in this unit, get the seller to take a pic of the lift cylinder mount with a tape measure on it and I'd be glad to post a pic of a 1962-63 lift cylinder I have to compare it to. I have a spare one for my boat. Cal, I had to "engineer " mine to fit my '63 mount. The tilt I have on my boat came off a 1972? 125 hp Evinrude. I had to do a little grinding to get it to fit.
