TOPIC: SEEKING A SOURCE for a 4-LEVER OMC SHIFT BOX

Friends,

I'm planning on using a pair of 40HP OMC outboards (likely 1961-62) on the 1961 RED FISH 17FT OFFSHORE 1702 that I'm planning to restore.

Do any of you know of a source for the 4-lever shift box "at something less than SCALPER's prices"??

It's possible to cobble one together from two standard OMC control boxes. Would hold you over and get you on the water until you found the real deal...

I could keep an eye open for a complete dual control at the Tomahawk National antique Outboard show if you like. There is quite a swap meet selection and you never know what you run across. I have no idea of what is a reasonable price. PM me if you want me to look. 3-4 Times I have found a special something I needed.

YEP, I'd like for you to shop for me. - I'd sooner NOT do a temporary lash-up from 2 sets of single controls, though I suppose that's acceptable in the absence of a real 4-lever set-up.

As to cost, I have NO idea; Over the last decade, I've seen 4-lever sets for from 30-150 bucks.,
(I suspect that these things don't have a set price but are worth what someone is willing to pay.)
