I need a Keyway?? for Johnson 45 late 1960's model 5 years 7 months ago #139240

I was told it is called a keyway. I little metal piece that wedges the flywheel to the shaft, in getting the flywheel off it must have flipped into my gravel driveway. I'm new to all this.

The part you need is called the Flywheel Key. You can look up parts for your motor here, just plug in the model number:

ok I did get the part ordered on that web site. thanks much for the info.

I know nothing about boats or boating. But what usually happens with things ,
now that I bought a new one I will find the original one in the gravel driveway at some point when i least expect it. lol

Yes, it's amazing how those danged engine parts jump right into the gravel, never to be seen again!

I finally got a concrete driveway poured where I do my boat/motor work, and I found all manner of missing bits and pieces when I was prepping for the pour.

"So THAT'S where it went !!?"
