TOPIC: 1972 Evinrude Lark 50hp wont start…

Started with this in the wrong room, but things have gotten worse. Would cut out at high rpm, now wont start at all. Cranks and cranks and cranks. Carbs cleaned, new gas, new lines, new primer, pump is clean and working, new coils…where to look next? Model is 50273C.

Update…plugs dont look great, black, but arent completely caked. Compression checked, 130 in #1 and 135 in #2

New plugs and tried some starting fluid. Still nothing. I am beyond frustrated and dont know what else to check

does it have spark? does it have air/fuel? does it have compression? (yes. seems like good compression there) This is the 3 basic things you need to make it run. a little more information and someone can help you here. once we know you have these 3 things checked off, we can move on to carb tuning and timing.
