Bruce helped me get most of this figured out but I have one more question. The schematic I have shows a grounding strap from the lower motor cover to the powerhead. The ground wire comes through the wiring harness to the plug receptacle on the lower motor cover. The plug is female, the receptacle male. Is the largest male pin in the receptacle the ground? If so does this ground out the whole lower motor cover? Thanks for the help. Mike

I think I did it to myself again!! Duh. I found a grounding strap on the right side (looking from the front) of the lower engine cover going to the block. Back to the drawing board. I'll test from the key switch forward and block backward and see what's up. I'll get that sucker figured out someway. LOL. Mike

Housten, we have liftoff!!! Took the box apart and rewired it according to the scematic on the inside of the box. Fired right off. When in doubt, read the directions!!

If you ever get a motor with out the control box. I is real simple to wire the motor up with out it. you just add a solanoid on the motor some there and run a push button start to the dash plus and on and off toggle switch. Also if it has and electric choke you put another push button for it. I do that to most of my motors.
