TOPIC: sea king

sea king 14 years 5 months ago #9283

A friend got this in a lot he bought at an auction. From what I have read this is omc for montgomery wards late 50's. He is a mechanic mainly grown-up toys. He fixes the fun stuff jet-skis motorcycles etc. I have been looking for a pond motor for the bay in front of my house. I have seen prices from "haul this away" to ridiculous. Is 150.00 fair, fixed and running? Am I low. In case the pictures don't show up I think it is a sea king 5 horse from the 50's

Can't see the motor all that well but those are good motors. I have one from the 40s and one 1957 35hp both Montgomery Wards motors. Anything OMC is easy to work on and maintain. Just make sure you gas oil mix is right and it will out last you.
