I just acquired a near perfect 1972 Starflight 100 that going on Craigslist or EBay. Heads up on this forum first.
Push button selectric
Long shaft
New Wabash pulse pack
Excellent inside wiring (no dry/split insulation)
Starts, idles and runs without any issues
Compression in all four in the 120's to 135.
Lower unit is excellent, shifts without problems and seals are tight (NO WATER IN UNIT) I will be changing the oil though.
With the care that was given to this motor I'm assuming that cooling is not an issue, I ran it on muffs without problems but don't know the age of the impeller.
I knew this motor was cared for.
