TOPIC: Lawnboy/OMC outboard

A friend picked this motor up at a yard sale a few weeks ago and was looking for any help with the year, horse power and possible value of the motor. Any and all would will be greatly appreciated!

i believe that it's a lawn mower power head, worth most to lawn boy collectors. omc made an air cooled motor called the 'iron horse' that was the power plant for the earliest lawn boy mowers and it was also used by a few other brands of lawn mowers early on.

your best response from non-lawn boy people would be from aomci.org in the dock side cafe or ask-a-member section.

That's the same powerhead used on the Johnson Aquabuoy and Evinrude Aquanaut diving pumps...

You'll want to search Johnson Air Buoy and Evinrude Aquanaut. They're pretty cool - nice sets sell around $800

Here's the one I've got... I don't have any of the paraphernalia that goes with it, though (masks, hoses, etc.).
