TOPIC: 2018 boat shows to put on calendar

Might be a good idea to start posting some dates for this years boat shows, places, dates, times etc.
I just received a notice in the mail for the Door County, Wisconsin annual classic and wooden boat show August 11/12. Nite cruise and reception on Friday the 10th.

There is one at Kelly Lake, WI for the second year (I do not know date) and a new one at Green Bay to be held 13-14 July. And about a zillion other shows and events to keep us busy every single weekend.

Those 3 are all in Cal’s neck of the woods. Went to the Door County one last year and definitely will be back! I will have to learn more about the other shows. If the Green Bay show is on the fox river, that would be pretty cool since my ancestors lived on the Fox in 1805 and traveled those waters and settled there in the late 1700s. I would like to make 3 or 4 shows this summer. Has anyone heard if the Anchor Inn in Edgerton, Wi will try their late May show again? Was rained out last year.

The Green Bay Show will be at South Bay Marina on the Fox River right at the mouth - near Bay Beach Park. "All Hands On Deck" in Green Bay and the Glacier Lakes Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society are putting it on. The plans are not gelled yet but the thinking is to do a boat cruise on the Fox River on Friday and have the show at the docks on Saturday. www.glacbs.org and www.southbaymarina.com and of course they are looking for volunteers to help plan and work the event.

I also see the ACBS Minocqua, Wi show is June 22 and 23, 2018. Both in and out of water displays.

South Bay Marina, there is a city launch ramp right next door with tons of parking area. My cruising grounds. There are on the water restaurants on the river also, River runs right through the heart of Green Bay.

You will want to check the ACBS site for Northern and Southern California chapters. There is a Bass Lake show in May and a Clearklake show June 1st. And then the Concourse in August up at Lake Tahoe.

Hey, I'm just curious, is there some reason these events are not posted on the website calendar? Maybe I just don't know how to view them?

Any more info on the Kosh meet? What time will everyone be there. It's a three hour drive for me so I'll probably be leaving home pretty early to get there. Have to drive back the same day since it's my youngest granddaughter's HS graduation the next day. I think I already have the address programmed into the GPS

As of last week, ACBS folks are putting all their shows across the country on the FiberGlassics calendar. Just checked and there are lots of entries now. If we could arrange to get others like AOMCI and the various marque clubs to have their meets and shows included, we would have one central place to go for event info.
