We’ve all had the motor works fine until you accelerate, etc. With the EPA required lined fuel lines, this can happen with the ethanol gasoline. The Casey’s gas stations in Illinois and Wisconsin, they offer an ethanol free premium, it’s worth the extra .45 a gallon for us. This particular instance, the hose didn’t collapse until you tried to run WOT. It’s frustrating for sure.

Frustrating. Wish I had taken a picture of a torn piece of the inner primer ball logged in the fuel line. I pay for the non ethanol gas for the piece of mind. Thanks for sharing that picture!

We know what you meant

Glad you found the problem though without tearing the carbs apart.

For a Johnson or Evinrude, I have found that the new BRP fuel lines you buy at a dealer have been improved so that does not happen, even with E10 gas. More expensive, but I've decided to pay the extra to avoid that issue long-term.:)
