Whhhhaaatttt, nnnoooooo!!!! This is terrible news. I had no idea, I hadn't seen him post in quite a while and was going to drop him a line to see how he was doing. He will be sorely missed, so sorry Cal! He did a lot of great work on the calendars, believe he started them if I remember right.

Very sorry to here of Ron's passing. I bought a tach from him a year or two ago and he was a very good man to work with. He will be missed for his wealth of knowledge that he was always willing to share. We are all lucky to run across people like Ron, and this site is a good place to meet them. It is hard to find younger people interested in restoring old things like boats. It is easier to buy new. I know, it was hard to say that, but it is true. Most people don't appreciate the finer things in life like we do. We all need to appreciate the wealth of knowledge and friendship that we take for granted here. Ron, you will be missed but remembered!

Very sad news. Ron, Sue, Gail and I used to have such a great time at meets when they would bring that beautiful boat of his, and we would bring our hot rod Power Cat. God bless him.

A sad loss of a good man.
I never met Ron but we developed a friendship as a result of his calendars, over time we exchanged many, many emails.
I discovered Ron's passion for people, boats, his local community, love of his country, plus an ever active & varied sense of humor.
R.I.P. Ron, you will be missed in too many places.
Ken.

Yes he was getting worse He sold the boat to someone in Canada , He was talking about getting a pontoon boat for years, but he couldn't handle it anymore. He was hoping for the artificial kidney, they were testing in Europe he was a good friend and Buddy, we went to the Antique boat shows together !!

Ron sold it to a gentleman from Toronto. It was at the ACBS show in Gravenhurst, but I didn't have a chance to talk with him.
Cheers
Bill
