TOPIC: 1960 Bowman

1960 Bowman 5 years 6 months ago #139939

I recently purchased my third fiberglassic. I think I'm either addicted or afflicted but I'm not sure which. Anyway after seeing an ad on Marketplace for a 1960 Bowman I went to look at it and I ended up buying it. In the Fiberglassics library there is limited information about Bowman boats but I was wondering how many were produced and if there were any other owners that belong to this forum? I placed an ad here for a hardtop knowing it's probably a long shot at best but you know the old saying: if you don't ask......
Thanks in advance.

Left side steering lends itself to a left rotating Propeller engine. Driver weight compensates for the port side lifting from left rotation prop. Looks like nice lines on that boat. Sorry I didn’t have info to address the question you had. Hopefully others can.

Little bit of varnish on those seats and you're good to go. Those lines almost look like a 60's style Larson. Nice looking find and should be an easy fix up.

Thanks Dr.Go. I didn't even think of that but it makes sense.
634 Sabre, the seats were apparently devoured by a raccoon and from my last resto experience the seats can be costly to replace. I guess that's another skill I'll need to learn. At least the rest of the boat is in great condition so seats may be the biggest cost, other than a motor!
