Pretty close to what I do. I've cut them into little pieces and filled the weekly pickup bins, I've stripped them completely down and hauled to a landfill, stripped them down and brought them to "transfer stations" where I've watched a payloader do some serious damage to them before loading them in a semi truck heading to happy boater land.

I LOVE IT!!!,...
Now if the blue recycle bin was a "GRINDER",...I'd bring the popcorn!! :-)

We have to cut them up in my county, but I could drop one off in one piece in the adjoining county - about 40 +/- miles away.
The cut up one is a '58 Glasspar Avalon. I am saving the aluminum brightwork and glass windshield for someone in need.
The blue & white "sidewinder" clone is next!
