TOPIC: Your thoughts?

I ran across this ad in the local Facebook Marketplace. This one made me laugh out loud. I believe his valuations and asking price to be wildly optimistic. I have a number in mind that I think it's worth. What do you guys think?

Not very realistic. And there's a huge typo in the asking price.

Nautilus, I'm in upstate NY and around here you would be hard pressed to get $4000 out of her. If restored properly, you're gonna have that much or more into just materials. Being that she is "plan jane" you would have to find someone who was looking for sentimental value to get the kind of money he's asking.

Whoever determined the valuations he has listed is either clueless or fishing for suckers. It's a Plain Jane Sea Ray with a ridiculous floor, even worse seats and little or no collector value. I figure: Boat $600; Trailer $300; Motor $450. If he can get an offer of $1,500, he should take the money and run. Cal...jump in here.

I think you guys are all high.
Trailer...$200. max and that's high. Needs to be completely restored/rebuilt.
Motor if running...$500.
Basic 16'....if it has a clean registration maybe $450.
Get more money parting it.
Those cheap plastic seats bend and twist just sitting in them....experience.
Original color according to the brochure was "sand".

Around my area that package would be sitting on the side of the road with a for sale sign for maybe $800. and then you would negotiate on that. After a summer of rain and dirt you'd donate it to a local charity and I would pick it up for around $400.

You nailed the logic 63 Sabre! It would have to be a boat a family member used to have and boat you grew up on... and even then your logic would still apply.
