TOPIC: Rubrail for a 1959 Redfish Shark

Rubrail for a 1959 Redfish Shark 4 years 4 months ago #142999

I am restoring a 1959 Redfish Shark. I am trying to locate the proper rubrail (I have the original retaining clips). I ordered what looked like the appropriate size (0001G LG) from WEFCO, based on their profiles, and it was way too big. Any advice on what the correct size is for this boat? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

you can cut off a short piece and send it to WEFCO to see if they have the rub rail in your size ? If not ? They can make it.
But I don't know the tooling cost for a new die ?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately my restoration process has taken much longer than planned and the old rail is long gone. I am trying another size that WEFCO has in stock to see if that works better.

FYI to all. As per a phone conversation with Pete yesterday, WEFCO is discontinuing production all of their white rubrail.

Have the exact boat missing the exact rub rail. If you have any success at all please share and I'll do the same if I find something. I don't even know for sure what it looked like I just have a bag of clips that came with the boat
