TOPIC: 1961 Glasspar

1961 Glasspar 3 years 3 months ago #145447

Hello everyone,
I just recently acquired my first boat. It has the Glasspar emblem on the side and it also has a V175 emblem. I was hoping to get some more information on the boat.

Welcome aboard!
What you have there is definitely not a 1961. It looks to me to be a 1970's Larson era "Glasspar" Flying V.
Some consider these to be Glasspar in name only, as Larson bought them out around 1968 but hey, all that matters is that you like the boat. I personally think it's rather good looking. Others who may know more about the model will chime in in time. Enjoy it!
Eric

Hello 49Mercpapo

Looks similar to this which is supposedly a 1971 Flying V175, although the top deck is different.

Your Glasspar has nice lines and that gelcoat should polish up real pretty. How does the floor and transom look?

Thanks,
Terry
