I picked up what I believe is a 1971 BW 13. I've been reading about a "smirk" style bow but I can't find an explanation. Does my boat have the "smirk?"
The seats are gone but I have the steering station.

I can't say what the "smirk " style is, although I suspect it's just the typical Whaler bow which may make a look of a mouth smirk at a certain angle. I can say I love Boston Whalers, though, and yours looks good. I love the early ones because of their blue interiors. As a kid I used to see tons in Massachusetts, and there are still many up there in use or in people's yards. A well built workhorse.

Nice little boats. My sister and brother in law had one the same size for several years. Theirs was about the same age but had a tan interior. I refinished the seats and steering station a few times for them. A 30 HP 2 stroke with power trim worked very well. They tried a 4 stroke but the extra weight did not work well with a boat that short. Have fun with it!
