TOPIC: My Boat -- Thunderbird Miami c. 1960

My Boat -- Thunderbird Miami c. 1960 14 years 3 months ago #13920

I have a Thunderbird Miami that I bought in 1998 and am currently in midst of repainting, rewiring and almost through with a windshield mold. I have posted a few photos taken in 2002 in my profile. I did not know the model until the T-Bird Miami brochere was posted a few years ago. I am wondering how many other Miamis have survived and where they may be located. I am in Seattle. Also -- any known construction details would be a big help.

I love that model Miami. Awesome looking boats. A few years back I foolishly turned down one that had been offered to me for cheap. 6-8 months later I was having severe regrets and contacted the seller just to learn it had gone to the crusher. :(

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.

Hi -- If you check my profile there is a photo there that shows the transom area - thanks for your interest

My father, Naval Architect Richard C. Cole, originated the first Cathedral Hull for Thunderbird back in about 1958. We also owned one of the fire Miami models many years ago.

Hello,

I have the same boat as you. If I can get in contact with you, it would be great! Hopefully you get this message.
