First time i fire up the engine since i got it and after 2 pull she fire right up and i notice there is no water shooting out from the back anywhere.Do i have the leg lower enough in the water to pick up water for the water pump or my water pump is not working?

It looks like your water pump is not working. You seem to be far enough in the water.

NO, it is NOT deep enough. The waterpump is not self priming and must be submerged. Also, if you have not serviced the waterpump, do it NOW, not after you run the motor. If the old impeller is ready to fall apart, bits can get blown up the water tube to cause havoc in the powerhead passages...

OK Chinewalker now when the motor sits on the boat the water pump does not sit below the water. So that has me stumped. The boat would realy have to sit low in the back to get it that far underwater. Just wondering.

Mike - when you are at start up at the dock, the pump will indeed be below the waterline. Once it is pumping, it'll pump just fine as you plane off and the water pulls away from the transom. It just needs to be submerged to start. It's a wonderful water pump system, but a terrible air pump...

The water pump housing is that bulge in the leg just under the lower swivel mount. Submerge until that vertical bolt head at the backside of the leg is underwater. On a boat, that would be about the waterline.
