A combination of exhaust oil, gas and water. Normal drainage. Get the impeller checked before more permanent damage occurs. On that engine, takes about a little over an hour to change for the first time installer. Really quite simple.

1954 Evinrude 25 horse with residual exhaust oil, gas and water mixture.

Just a drain hole to let water out of the housing, no worries. PLEASE listen to the other guys and change that water pump impeller though, it would really be a shame to damage that beautiful old motor by overheating it! (It doesn't take much heat to do it, and like Scott says the little bits of broken impeller blades can plug the water passages up into the powerhead = big trouble not easily fixable.)
