TOPIC: Homemade outboard -Another picture

Homemade outboard -Another picture 14 years 8 months ago #3885

I dont know how to post multiple pictures on this new forum. Heres how I mounted the new engine. I milled a stainless steel couple on my lathe. Then I engineered a top plat on the lower unit then a bottom plate on the engine. I mounted the engine on the coupler the welded side plates to connect the 2 bases. It was fun and the forward neutral and reverse work perfect.

Nice work, Moe, very impressive craftsmanship to match the design. I'm also enjoying the automotive "eye candy" in the background. First the BMW (is that a Z?), now a vintage 'vette convert! Kinda reminds me of a t-shirt I saw once that read "He who dies with the most toys wins" ;)

To post multiple pics you can post one, then go right back to edit, post another, continue until you're done. Keep 'em coming, love the pics.
