I have been working on a 59 Volksboat for the last few months. I got the boat motor and trailer in one deal. I think this is the way it was purchased new. It had a twenty two horse Mercury on her. A friend of mine went thru that and got it running just fine. Yesterday for the first time in how may years the boat went back in the water. That little bugger just boogies. I got twenty seven MPH on the GPS. That sure seemed fast. Anyway the real drive to do this little boat was to pull it behind my 1961 Morris Mini Minor. The boat is a little bigger than the car. I had to build a hitch and today I hooked the boat behind the car and took her out for a test drive. Well she won't win any races but I am confident that I can drive her to any local shows.

AWESOME Del! I love it! I would love to see more pics of the buildup on the boat.

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.

How fun!!
I hope you're bringing it to Muscatine.
What motor do you have in the Mini? I had a super straight stock '71 850 and really had a lot of fun with it.

Good to see you posting over here!

All the gell was sanded off and the boat split. There was a lot of glass repair to do on the inside structual. A couple pictures.
