I agree that is awesome! Is that on an old Aristocraft?

Oh pic.... 1970 Mercury 500 on my 1960 Wagemaker Empire Clipper on the Hudson River around Athens NY.

I never get tired of seeing that G3/850.
It is truly in my top five favorites.
I wish I would have had the time to see it in person when I came out and visited with the good Dr. in August.
Here is my foundation, if I ever get to it. :)
Even when they are this ugly, they are good lookin'.

Thanks Neil!

Shoot, I wish I would have known you were heading out this way (I live an hour North of Thom). I would have brought "Bandit" down to Thom's lake and had you out for a romp!

My 850 was every bit as "ugly" before Darryl (ClassicMerc) in did the resto on it...(I think it was worse!) ;)

Ok, might as well throw my .02 worth in.
From my Century Sabre, could also toss in a pile of engine parts before it was completed.

Y'all don't know ugly. Here's ugly. Dean, even if I don't get that 850 to run this winter, I'm going to try to paint it up like yours and hang it on the wall just to look at! That is a beautiful engine!!

Ponyboy love your collection. Wouldn't mind taking a road trip this summer and checking them out. I just picked up a 1959 G3 and I have a 1968 GW Invader 14' both waiting to be restored.
