If that boat isn't a candidate for a poster or calendar somewhere, I don't know what is!!! Awesome job John, can't wait to see the finished interior shots.

Very cool John. Gail & I are bringing the Power Cat over to that show in Hammondsport mid-July. I sure hope I have those good seats we ordered by then!

That boat of Ed and your mom's is gonna make a lot of posters I bet. What about you though? Where's your boat?

Have to teach a business class this a.m., then off for more boating fun on some "local" (hour or so away) lakes this afternoon and tomorrow.

Have a great weekend!

thanks frank, the seats will look great in your boat, where is hammondsport?i would like to go to the harvey lake show.
i used to have a 1964 seaking cabin cruiser but sold it to the neighbor,i see it sitting there everyday.
the sunray is also mine, mom and ed gave me a share of it for working so hard on it for free, and putting some of my own money into it. 1964 seaking
have fun at the lake frank.

John you've done a great job. I like that you've added your own spin to the details of a glassic. Hope to see it in person at harveys lake.

Re:1964 custom craft sunray almost finished 14 years 6 months ago #9523

JOHN, the various acbs shows that i've been too don't have the "original..restored..and preserved classes as the woodies do, as of yet. you would be in the "classic glass" outboard, same as me. "Remember Then" would be the proud bridesmaid for "Remember When". you might even take the "Best of Show" or "Peoples Choice"
i want too see them call your name for your first. its a terrific feeling after putting your heart and soul into a restoration.
the "Tuckerton Seaport Philadelphia acbs show" in september is bigger and nicer than harveys lake show with much more on-site things to see....lighthouse,museum,seafood restaurant, stewarts rootbeer stand, boat building pavillion,vendors,etc....i'll send you some literature and the show map. i'll be at both shows. it would be great if you could make tuckerton. tuckerton is a 2 day show. ron

thanks ron,and i was just kidding about naming it remember when, you and you alone have the name "remember then",everyone knows it just by name.i thought about naming it "way back when" ,but no one else likes it especially my wife, lol.(i aint going to tell ya what year she was born in)lol
as for tuckerton isnt that a long way from me,where is it,remember im a country boy,i dont like citys, lol.

So Hammondsport mid-July huh?

Do I hear an FGNE Mini Meet?

John? It's alot closer for you buddy.

Maybe I'll have the Sting Ray presentable by then.

Going out to work on it now.

i'd do hammondsport if it was under 4 hrs...but tim said its 1 hr. from silver lake so that makes it a 5hr.drive for me. 10 hrs. of driving in 1 day is too much for me. harveys lake is 2 1/2hrs. and tuckerton is 2 hrs....coeymans hollow is 1 hr.50 min. :)
