Spent all day yesterday and just finished at 5:00 PM today cutting and installing the new stainless rub rail trim. Now I will tell yah one thing, its not a task for the faint of heart! very exacting and pain staking work on this boat because of the angles in the center of the boat on eack side. And remember, this s a glass boat so a washer and fiber lock nut goes on every screw! There are 210 screws just holding on the rub rail trim and the small stainless trim between the walk about deck area and the raised area of the deck. Oh, it was fun doing the ones under the deck.

When your taking a Drumel and hack saw to very expensive 12 foot runs of stainless and realize that one bad measurement or cut can cost you a ton you just have to remember the old rule, measure twice, cut once!

It all came out great with just one very tiny screw up but don't worry, I WILL NEVER SHOW YOU WHERE IT IS! LOL!

JAG: CONGRATS on coming down the finish line of your major project. Of all the other sweet restorations you did, many members would not jump into yearly projects.
.. I read the other posts of yours on Designer board of the years of searching for such a historic desired model. The future is very exciting for this mfg & family promotion out in California.
.There will be many mag cover for this CUDA. Enjoy your success with your wife (& her sweet Holiday boat present).
You are a great leader for our enjoyable hobby.

Your killin me LOL! I'm just like everyone here, started in the hobby with a dream and an old $300.00 Elgin that needed love and attention and worked for almost ten years doing a few other boats and finally working my way up to the real boat of my dreams, the Arena Craft Barracuda. It will be nice after over a years hard work that when I put her in the water the first time she actually runs! Lets keep our fingers crossed!!

John - Stunning, absolutely stunning. I have a photo of a Barracuda at the Clayton show a couple years ago done in red and white. MUCH prefer your color scheme. Great attention to detail. A real show winner on the way. Brian

The boat is freakin beautiful definitely on my list of the one of the coolest glass boats made.It makes a Car Aqua look like the fat girl at the prom. It's OK to lust after another persons boat isn't it?

Yup, your right, Hay Del! Whip me up a 3500LB GVW duel axle Tee Nee with duel molded tear drop fenders . White chassis with matching Coral fenders to the boat will be fine and disc brakes. Need 82 inches between the inside of the fenders Thanks Buddy,
JAG

For you JAG my friend I would make you a better deal that I would make me own mudder. So all you have to do is sign a check mail it to me then I will get started on that trailer for you, I will fill in the numbers on that check too. Geeeezzzz what I am willing to do for you.
JAG not much time left befor we leave for Dora. Now I have been hearing you are thinking about not making the trip this year. TOO BUSY. How can this be true. YOU ARE A FULL TIME RETIRED BOAT RESTORER NOW. So you are expected to come and mingle with the rest of us glass heads. Lets get those plans firmed up and get packing. I know someone in you area looking for a ride. And he is of our calibur too. So move it move it move it.

Simply Beautiful work JAG. I love the paint work on the boat. Being a body man of 25+ years I love a nice paint job. I am not fond of the Roller or brush interlux work I have seen on many and my glass Craft that I bought is a prime example. I love the color but my god the brush makes make me ill. I bought it the way you see it in this pic hoping I could sand it and buff it. My hope is it has enough paint to do this with or its back to the body shop. Well JAG Beautiful work!

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.
